Working with MassDevelopment and the City of New Bedford, Karl F. Seidman Consulting Services, in collaboration with Karp Strategies, analyzed the feasibility of establishing a DIF District in downtown New Bedford to use tax increment financing to finance development projects and other improvements.
Karl F. Seidman Consulting Services formulated an updated Economic Development Strategic Plan for South Portland, Maine, a small but thriving coastal city of 25,000. The project scope included economic, demographic, and real estate market analysis, SWOT analysis, development of plan options, and preparation of the final plan.
Working with Broad Community Connections and a Community Advisory Committee of city and community stakeholders, Karl F. Seidman Consulting Services formulated a cross-sector strategy to support revitalization of commercial corridors across New Orleans.
In collaboration with Mt. Auburn Associates, Karl F. Seidman Consulting Services was the project manager for an evaluation of this program that awards grants to non-profit technical assistance providers throughout Massachusetts.
